All internal combustion engines will last longer if lubricated with quality synthetic oil. The molecular chains available in synthetic additive packages provide far superior lubricity that reduces friction to a degree that engines experience significantly less wear where there is metal to metal contact. That means that the engine gets better fuel mileage, & lasts longer.

Synthetic lubricants also protect the engine by means of additives that protect the metal from pressure, as well as heat.

Do not mean to sound like a commercial here, but l work in an industry where knowledge of lubricants is part of the job. l only use 100% synthetic oil in my own vehicles.

Does not need synthetic, but it is better oil. Longer lasting, more protection, less break down. Do not get me wrong oil is oil & it will have to be changed eventually so its just a matter of preference. Do u want to spend the extra $$ to for synthetic to prolong the time between oil changes(10000-15000miles) or just buy conventional & change oil every 3000-5000.

Just know if u go with a synthetic oil u need to buy the better oil filter such as K&N or Mobil. Fram filters start to tear apart after 6500 miles.
