The color largely depends on the condition of the body. l have a friend with a '92 in black & it is very nice. However, if the body has some defects, black will show up (even the smallest defects). Also, if u have the time to take care of the paint. Black looks great, by it will take much more time to keep it clean & shiney. Light colors such as white is very easy to care for. Silver is also easy to care for.
l guess my point is go with dark colors only if the body is flawless & u have the time to care for it.

l work at a lexus dealership and iv seen a few good older sc's, l strongly believe a 95 sc400 painted a deep red is very nice, and it will last a life time. l really dislike black on sporty cars, just because of the cleaning involved
