im thinking of getting a lexus is300 in possibly couple of months or maybe a year but im wondering why they stopped making lexus is300 and if its really worth buying second hand... and what should be a reasonalbe price for a used is300

they only changed the name to Is350 because the engine is now larger. You might also want to get a new IS250. yum.

they just renamed it. is350 because it sounds sportier(if thats a word).
8000-12000 for a decent to good is300 depending on mileage.

They just changed body styles ( l think the Altezza changed, so they had to as well). The numbers in the name just relate to the engine. They're neat cars, and they have a bit of potential as well.

l just bought one two weeks ago and so far l am more impressed with the Hondas l have owned before. Not to mention maintenance from Lexus is a bitch to afford even if you do have deep pockets.

IS250 uses a 2.5L engine hence the name 250.
IS350 uses a 3.5L engine hence the name 350.
