The Lexus ES350 Is Actually A Rebadged Toyota Camry.

You Might Want To Look At A Different Vehicle.

l Would Check Out The Audi A4 or The 2009 Hyundai Genesis.Seriously Just Take A Look.

l do not own one, but l can tell u from about one week of total ''ownership'' from using them as loaners from Lexus during service calls.

1. Design is subjective & really a matter of personal taste, so l can not tell u ''oh it is gorgeous'' or ''oh, it is so bland'' because u probably like it, or else u would not be considering it. My two cents, it is a very nice looking car, exterior. It shows some ''Camry'' resemblance, but overall it conveys more luxury. l would have liked the interior wood trim to have gone across the passengers side dash also, to flow a little better, like the previous ES330.

2. Power, l thought was sufficient, once the transmission kicked in & downshifted properly. Thus, the problem with the ES350, it is slugish to accelerate, but once it does, it is a pretty hungry engine. Smooth, & deceptively aggressive is how l would describe it. Do not expect BMW'ish performance, but it is a much smoother ride.

3. Noise isolation was very good, from road noise to engine. It is not LS grade, but much better than comparable Camry for sure. l would say this is probably on par with first generation LS. Very quiet on highway & wind noise was present, but manageable. If u drive with the radio on, u wo not notice anything.

4. As far as known issues, or reliability, l would say it is on par if not better than previous models. There was the transmission issue of ''jumping'' gears, which l am sure should be isolated by now (third year already).

l think for an entry level luxury vehicle, the ES350 does okay for the moeny. Are there better deals out there? Probably are. but if u like the ES350, it is a good buy & nice choice.
