l plan on purchasing my dream car which is a Lexus in the near future..(hopefully gas prices will be down by then). l am looking for a SUV so whats the best one out of these 2?

Two different types of vehicles. The GX is built on a truck chassis & the RX is built on an automobile chassis. Two different types of ride. The RX is more auto like & the GX, while a nice ride ( l had one) is a bit more like a truck. It is cousin is used off road world wide. Both luxurious. If u r worried about gas mileage go for the RX400h. l have a GS450h so it has lots of power (a V8 is worth) but sips gas like a V6. The RX is similar: a V6 (3.5L) coupled with two electric motors. Lots of instantaneous torque & a nice ride & (relatively) good gas mileage. True, there is a premium for the hybrid but at today is gas prices it does not take nearly as long to erase.

our family car is the gx470 and its way tight it has way more power than the other one we love it

Well the GX is a bigger suv and wastes probably more gas and the RX400h wastes less because it is a hybrid.

they are both great products but the one you should get depends on what you are looking for in an suv and your lifestyle. if you want to appease the al gores of the world then get the rx but if you want a nice suv with reliablity, performance and plenty of space as well as good towing capabilities for camping and other stuff then get the gx.(if you can afford the gas of course.)

It depends on what you want, the GX470 is bigger and more ruggid for the outdoors and has a V8 engine that packs alot of ponies. The RX400h is a very popular car that will hold up its resale value far better than the GX470. RX400h still has a powerful V6 that does not lack any ponies. RX400h is better on gas/fuel economy. Which ever car you buy, you will be one happy owner because these cars are so reliable!!

The RX400H is awesome, but my dream would be to own a GX!!!!

th GX 470 iz a full size SUV & th RX iz a crossover. since gas prices r higher, chooz th Lexus RX 400h.

The Gx is more of an off road vehical or a bigger family criteria suv. The rx is for somebody that does most driving on roads. if you do go off road it can not be as extreme as the gx. for me family of three l would choose an rx

it depends on what you are looking for. the gx is bigger and they are both around the same price. the rxh doesnt get that much better of gas mileage than the regular rx. l say for the price, if you like the rx, get the regular one, if you like the gx, get it.
