kay well my parents already have 4 lexus is and l have just started driving my parents for experience! l need a new car and l am looking into cars to drive for my first car, and am looking into a lexus LS460 for my first car! Do you think that this is the right car for me as a first timer? Plz be honest!!!!!

its a terrible car for a begining driver. its too big and too expensive to repair.

you should get something smaller and cheaper. your car will be banged up just because you dont have experience behind the wheel. if you dent/ scratch a bumper/ fender it will cost ~$1K to repair/ replace.

i would suggest getting a corolla. excellent gas mileage. small/ compact/ easy to drive. fairly common so getting parts/ repairing it should be fairly cheap.

over priced toyotas...thats all they are.

as a first time driver..you should just get a beater. you lack experience, you wont respect the car, your friends wont either..so just get a 1000 beater to get you around

steve H ^^^.. thanks for the laugh kid. l love these FWD punk civic drivers who think they have a real sports car.. no matter what u do to it it will still be a POS cheap plastic fwd grocery getter. Want real sports car? Look at a BMW M3 or Toyota Supra.. l am sure deep inside u know l am right but the truth hurts does not it.. Also.. l am lmfao here... u list all the shit mods u have (swap..haha who in their right mind would go through the trouble to swap an engine that only has 200hp at max. civic ricers).

Lexus are kind of overpriced. But they are cheaper than a mercedes or BMW. S-class start at $86,000 or $71,000 750i vs. $62,000 LS460. YOU DO NOT NEED THAT FOR A FIRST CAR!!! MOST PEOPLE'S FIRST CARS COST A TENTH OF THAT! Only retired or rich people deserve to drive those. Plus, they are huge and get bad gas milage. l would look into a smaller car such as an ES or IS.

Well, since a Lexus is a toyota that wants to be a Mercedes, l think theyre all overpriced. But a LS460, for a new driver? Nah, thats a car for the older set that has earned the money to drive one, hold off a few years. (However, hopefully Audi and Mercedes-Benz will eat Lexus by 2012)

an ls460 as a first car! Do u live in Montecito or Greenwich. All in all an ls460 is a good car - but it is big! l am sure my grandfather would get a kick out of it though. Get something sportier such as the is350 - or even is250! or the SC. As l am young l am looking at these two - or maybe the hybrid RX as l have snow where l live. So no l do not think it is the right first car for u unless, uh-hem, you're a celebrity & need the ultimate in safety, power & technology. In which case u should not be driving yourself - get a driver already!
