go for GX470 better, but keep in mind that l should be with you when you get it.

Go for a classic Lexus, like the SC400. They are extremely reliable. l have a 1992 SC400 and it still runs great. The only things l had to fix was the radiator and it now runs just fine. Lots of power and great gas mileage for a V8.

LX470 only available as a used vehicle but that is ok. It is big plush & nice.
GX470. Had one & loved it but no longer fit the lifestyle.
Sold it & bought a GS450h. Powerful, fast & fuel efficient (relatively speaking). My favorite Lexus yet though there is no smoother, quieter, more luxurious ride than the LS sedans.
l also agree with one of the SC400 drivers: what a great classic car; l would like to have one.
Get out & test drive them all: If ur local Lexus dealership is anything like ours it will be a pleasant, no pressure experience.

if you have the money go for the lx 470 because of its big size and many luxurious features but with the gas prices going up l dunno if u can afford to fill it up with premium gas every week. but if u can afford a lexus u probably can. the rx hybrid is pretty nice plus gets amazing gas milege .But l still would take the lx470 over any of the others any day.

If l were u l would consider a car because of today is gas prices! If u need an suv the three lexus ones each offer something special for certain conditions. The LX470 is an excellent off road performer & would do the best in the snow if that is where u drive. It is a bit heavy & big for around town or highway driving. The GX470 was made to be an ''in between'' of their suv is offering the big suv experience with a more sporty chassis, & commonplace driving characteristics. This is probably the best for highway driving because it is the quietest of the lot. The RX400 is a hybrid version, & there is the rx350 non hybrid. These r the best for around town, & make the most sense all around. All of these suvs r extremely capable, safe, luxurious & fun. You really have to test drive all of them to see which one u like best. Remember the 470 is have a V8 motor which will use much more gas in comparison to the 400 hybrid or the 350 gas.
