how do i fix error code 3 on lexus es300

Was this on a CD changer or where/how did you find this error code 3?

l am guessing ur CD player is either not working correctly, or not at all. I've seen this many times. You have to replace the audio unit. If u have a certified lexus u have an extended warrenty that covers a audio unit. just make sure ur extended warrenty contract is valid. if not the exchange is avg. about $500. just for the unit, plus labor. l would not recommend a do-it-yourselfer do this exchange. removing the unit involves removing expensive wood grain. Believe me u dont want to pay for wood grain trim. l have broken a few pieces at work & the boss was not too happy about having to pay for it. call ur lexus dealer & see what they can do.
