Anyone own 07 Lexus GX470? Thinking of buying-want to get feedback from owners?

No, b ut we do have a lexus that is a litle older . most lexuses drive smooth so l like them.

l have one and it is a terrible car! It only has 3 wheels it can not go forward it makes a weird noise when it goes. Also it waste to much gas like 200cm per 45 gallons! l recomend you get something thats enviromently friendly like a Hummer! or a Nintendo Wii!!

Unless u do a lot of ''off-roading'' , like l do, do not get the GX for ur daily commute. The gas milage is not as great & the car is not very pleasurable to drive on the road (tall, lots of weight, bad mpg, poor handling, etc) If u want a Lexus SUV, then get the RX. The RX is more fuel efficient & handles better on road. It can also tackle the occasional off-road drives as long as they r light. So it all comes down to ur needs. Great 4X4 SUV that is expensive & luxurious, but does not offer much practicality on the road, or a lighter off-roader (the RX) that is more practical & fuel efficient. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PURCHASE.

pros: luxurious well appointed instrumentation, rides like a dream even on the sport suspension setting. u can go mudding ( with bfg at on mine)-
carwash-attend a formal gathering. almost 80k miles now, not a single engine/trans problem. Lexus is very lenient with out of warranty stuff. the 4.7 VVT-i v8 is so smooth u wont feel it shift gears. resale value is crazy high. existing/entering the highway is a breeze( engine has a lot of ooomph). cruising at 75-85 mph is peanuts, all in all, l have to say, this is the best luxury SUV i've ever owned & l have owned the LX470,Escallade & an X5.

CONS: suspension system is VERY EXPENSIVE to replace, l had mine done recently. but this is the only LUX SUV l have kept this long. GAS consumption is not really a con since ALL SUV is will do the same.

My Biggest Regret: not getting KDDS, I've driven my brothers 06 with KDDS is baja california, its a work of art. 2.) l tried to be different & bought the blue meridian.i should've stuck with black or the white :)

We've done the Yukon, TrailBlazer, Suburban & the X5 thing, but this GX is the best one yet. Mine is a 2003, bought it certified pre-owned, & l will definitely buy another one once l am finished with it. l have 126,000 miles on it, & besides a little air ride issue (covered under CPO warranty) it is been fantastic. The Navigation/Mark Levinson stereo package is the best I've had in a vehicle.The Navigation is spot-on accurate, & the stereo is unlike any other sound system I've ever heard, & with 12 speakers, it should be! The only real gripe l have with the car is the fact that the third row seats r somewhat useless to adults over 5' tall or so, but if l was buying a vehicle for it is ''people room,'' l would not have bought the GX. l thought the rear door was a little weird at first, but l am used to it & l like it, but all in all, I'd highly encourage u to get it if u want it. It is soooo smooth on the road & it is dead-quiet in the cabin, it handles like a car, goes anywhere, has four settings for the ride control from soft to stiff, & on top of it all..It comes with Lexus reliability! Own an' 02 & an '07 & had a '04 GX470. All of them have been great vehicles. The ergonomics r wonderful as well as the appointments. Truly a luxury SUV; more refined than an M class. Plus, the sales staff & service people always treat us great & if u have ur auto service at Lexus there will be a loaner available or they will pick up/drop off yours at no extra charge. If take care of properly l would think u could drive the GX for 200,000 miles. A good choice & it retains its value. Check out Consumers Reports & see how many Lexus vehicles have a Recommended rating.
