Can l use regular or do l HAVE to use premium

Yes it will not affect you mileage. Its just something they put in your owners manual. It might ping awhile if you have been using premium all along but it will stop.

It WILL affect your milage. You pay more but get more milage as it is more filtered/refined.
ALSO if you want your nice car in good shape, use premium.

You can use regular but it will knock and ping. Otherwise it will run. Just not very well.

l use regular in all my Lexus cars (GS, LS and GX) and have no trouble; they all run well. l firmly believe with modern engine technology which includes ping sensors and variable valve timing it makes little or no difference. l am not sure it even makes a difference in mileage and if it did, would not amount to enough to calculate. Save your money, use regular.

Premium gas is recommended but not required. It will not hurt the engine at all to use regular octane gas.

you can, but it will greatly affect your mileage, as well as put alot of unnecessary wear and tear on your engine. you will aslo not get as good of performance

ABSOLUTELY NO!! NEVER use regular gas on ur lexus. Adding regular after you've been using premium gas will absolutely ruin your engine and cost more in the long term to repair and fix. From personal experience, do not DO NOT!! put regular gas in you car. If it says PREMIUM, always use premium!

No.

The fuel chamber in the IS300 was built for premium gas because that is a quick car with lots of power.

And Premium gas actually does not affect gas mileage or reliability. It just adds power to your car. 5-10HP More for turbocharged cars.

For faster cars or powerful cars, they need premium fuel.
