Spare parts for modern cars will be expensive, but most people who buy Lexus dont worry about the cost of parts. If you cant afford to buy the spares, perhaps you should look at a different vehicle.

Is the choice between an IS and nothing? Or between an IS and something else? Is it new or used? Check Lexus.com for prices. Without further information, an answer is hard to come by.
l think my GS is worth it but l do not know your situation. If you have to ask about parts prices, you
may not be able to afford it. But if it is new, that may not be a concern. Between the IS and any other brand (Except Scion TC) l would go for the IS. Reliable and well built

Lexus IS is about a Mercedes price.. l do not think the the spare parts is expensive as Mercedes. Lexus is a well developed car and has almost the same comfort and safety as Mercedes or BMW in their class..

1.how much is it ?. First of all what IS r u talking about 1gen or 2gen? that question will ocmpletely be different for the other 2 questions you've asked....

2.and r the spare parts expensive ? not any more expensive then ur typical toyota camry or avalon. some exclusions apply of course especially if u have the Lexus dealer service it. then YES much more expensive

3.is it worth it ? The 1gen proved to be a great tuner car... easy car to do a supra 2jz swap or NA-T the stock motor with a build block or supra GTE block... as far as new IS l would only consider the IS350.. its very fast & worth every penny (however there have been complaints about interior quality as far as rattles & things of that nature r concerned.)

l think u should get an IS. Depending if u want a brand new or certified pre-owned. A brand new 2009 Lexus IS 250 is in the price range of 28k-35k, depending on the options & accessories. A used will probally cost u around 18-25k, depending from a model from 2004-2008. The maitnence required is expensive if u take the car to a lexus dealership to fix or maintance. l wouldnt say the spare parts r expensive, for volkswagon & BMW have one of the highest cost for spare parts.

It is the best one so far.
The 06 & 07 IS models commonly have dashboard rattle problems.
