l have 1995 lexus gs 300, When ever l drive my and start stoping slowely my steering wheel starts to whobble a little but if l brake rappedly its fine, does anyone know what the problem might be?

you probley have a lose steering columin so its a preety easy fix just tightin up the screws

You could have one of two problems. One is a crooked belt in front tire(very common). Two is warped front rotors. Here is how to find out which. For a crooked belt, drive the car on a smooth surface at around 20-30 MPH. Observe the steering wheel. If it has a slight wiggle from side to side, you have a front tire with a crooked belt. For a warped rotor, the whole front end should shake when you and only when you apply the brakes.

it is seem that yours rotors are the problem cause my pickup was doing the same things like yours Lexus so just get some new rotors & brake pads and it sould be fine.

It could be one of three things. It could be ur tires r out of balance. This could cause the steering wheel to shake while being driven & not braking. You would have to get ur tires balenced to fix that. It could be warped rotors. This can be caused by exessive heat. If the rotors r hot & they get water splashed on them it can cause it. Or if u ride the brakes. You would haved to get them resurfaced to fix them, or if they r to thin they will have to be replaced. Or in the worst case it could be bad tires, but l think it is more likely tire balance. Hope this helps u out.

the front Wheels are out of balance or your steering linkage is loose

l actually had the same problem on my Lexus RX. What l found out, is it was from uneven wear on the tires. If that is the case there are 2 options, buy new tires or you can have your current tires pressed back in to shape. they can usually do it at tire shop
