Here are the videos:

For half the money of a Porsche turbo, same price as the BMW M3, the GT-R is faster on track than a Bugatti Veyron and Porsche Turbo and GT3, probably GT2 too, with an acceleration time from 0-60 of 3.2 seconds (Faster than a Ferrari Enzo). How will this affect the competition if there is any?
Well, FromNige...

Have you seen the video links...

...the GT-R has a faster track time than the Veyron on the Nurburgring and insideline tested it to go from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds as opposed to the Enzo is 3.3 seconds...do your research before you pretend to know stuff...

Actually FromNiger: The GTR ran a 7:38 track time at the infamous Nurburgring & the Buggati Veyron did it in 7:41 ( l believe). You see, the Veyron may have 1001bhp, but its VERY heavy & not as nimble as the GTR. The Veyron is undoubtedly superior 0-60 & 1/4 mile, but that is NOT what we're talking about.

The GTR is a beast!

FYI: The Zonda F lapped the Nurburgring in 7:27.82, but he did not mention that vehicle.you did.

UPDATE:
Spammer: Those were the EXACT testing conditions when the GTR spanked the Porsche GT2. Except the driver made 3 passes in the Porsche GT2 & took the best lap time out of the 3, then on his FIRST run in the GTR, he beat the Porsche GT2 time by a second. Also, by the time he took the Nissan GTR out on the track, it had started raining & the track was damp. So actually, the GTR won with less attempts & less than optimal conditions. Amazing car!

Tony knows his Sh*t!.lol. Seriously l do not see the GT-R affecting the LF-A sales because It has a different target demographic, & it is a different type of car. The target for the GT-R was the 911 & l believe it hit the target, & may even take a couple of ''conquest sales'' from Porsche from drivers that r ''True Enthusiasts'' Many people buy Porsches & BMW is because of the prestige not because of the superb engine & chassis dynamics. So THAT buyer would not even consider buying a GT-R (what would his friends at the countryclub think if he pulled up in a Nissan!?!) It is sort of the same thing with Lexus. The LF-A is going to be more of a GT type rather than a sports car. the car will be more geared towards the Luxury end of the Market. It will have all sorts of bells & whistles (That add weight which is the death of any true sports) And will be built more for eating up long stretches of highway rather than shooting from Apex to Apex on the track.

the two muthatruckas above me is correct. LF-A will be a ~$150k car.. not nearly in the same price range as the GT-R. and all that talk about gtr doing 3.3 to 60... thats really pushing the car.. after several runs that will mess up the car real bad. l heard the tranny was overheating after 3 runs on the track. its a shame because the R34 was a much better platform to modify and build upon even though not as impressive out of the box.

l am not in favor nor against any car here. Lets be vertical & unbiased here.

Beside, those r seconds or fraction of a second on differences. On a street vehicle that is neglectable. On the street the WOW factor is more important, like prestige, looks & so on. All boils down what u rather drive & how does it feels for you. Some people might find the GT-R boring since there is no challenge to the driver or better since u r not allowed to screw up, stating that anybody can drive it. The BMW has an extra more comfy rear seat, so is sport but also more of a Coupe. Porsche l see it for the person that likes to do it all & likes to be called race car driver, to say that '' l know how to race & u do not'' but if u do not know how to drive it u can also ruin it.

One thing that guy should done on the test was to use the same brand, type, size & pressure of tire to be more unbiased. Tires can make a world of difference too. Lets say for example the Porsche had harder compound tires for durability the Nissan softer, giving it more traction. The BMW might have Touring tires, therefore average handling but more quiet ride. That is an example. l will like to know what tires uses. The 1st video clip specify the GT-R has Nitrogen in them, well Air is 75% Nitrogen but on race cars & aircrafts use N because is one gas & expands more linear. So where r u going to fill ur GT-R tires when u need it?

Other factor to consider r looks (everybody is different), seating position (how comfy feels for you), in & out exit (how accessible is to get in & out of the car), Safety (is the GT-R safer than the others?). They r a lot more to consider than just driving like bat out of hell on a race track.

Little by little the Human factor & the pleasure of driving is been taken away.

My taste is more harsh & like to feel & do it all. GT-R is a really cool machine but is not really my taste, way too many gadgets. BMW l would say is more of a daily driver & Porsche is like in between, sport with a dash of technology but still a driver is car, where u can loose a race because of you.

Is just a matter of taste here & how does feels for you. l would say there is not right or wrong answer here. Cars r just products targeted to certain audience. So the buyer is the one with the ultimate choice. As far LF-A, let the Marketing Dept take care of selling it, the engineers & techs did they part ;-)
