Chad is correct. It will play MP3 formated cd's. It does not have the plug in for an MP3 player.

Same as my car Monsoon radio. Just burn a bunch of MP3 on a CD & play them. That is all. An iPod does not send ''MP3'' format to the radio, just the sound & is amplified by the stereo. If u car has a plug for it, u can plug any audio device, like a Powered Mic, TV, DVD Player, Guitar, iPod, Walkman, etc & the sound will be blasted to the stereo.
On this case, is the radio like most of any new cars out there with a decent stereo, will play CDs with MP3 files on it. The advantage? A CD with MP3 files can hold, depending the files sizes, about 120 to 140 songs on a CD & u burn a CD with the songs that u want. A decent MP3 rip is about 3 MB in size.
