l really liked the 250 350 models of the is when it came out. And planning to buy one next yr. But this yr the ISF is out and cost almost doublethe price of the original..Now l want the IS-F model. But is the price really worth it?? What do you think?
l love the car is design, but is it worth spending that money on the IS-F or i'm better off buying the 250/350 or maybe just some other luxury car.

Make no question about it. The IS-F is in a different league altogether then theIS250/350. If you do not have a big budget, at least get the 350 as that is faster then most cars on the road.''Most'' does not mean you wanna mess around with vipers and corvettes.

$56,000, l think its worth it, for what your getting you cant really beat the price, 1 its a lexus, 2 the power 3 the reliability, here are some pics of it, check them out http://clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=332072

If u want that kind of speed l recommend u to get the 09 Caddy CTS-V coming out with a 550Hp V8 and it should be a little over 50 grand.

l think so but it depends on what u r comparing it to. realistically it will come to dealers optioned around $61k. Although in that price range the talent pool is pretty deep (M3, RS4, C63) l Love the Caddy CTS-V but l just do not think its refined enough to swim with those sharks. l mean l can buy a Mustang GT & use the extra $30k & go to a tuner shop if l just want a Muscle Car. Fit & finish r serious issues to people spending that kinda dough. Now l am going to say something that may offend some but l mean no harm. Most people who say I'd buy this or I'd buy that , the purchase of a car like that is based on a fictitious ''If l won the lottery scenario'' & they do not have the realistic means to purchase the car. But l deal with people who make a very good living but also work very hard for it , when they purchase a car Its an Emotional & rational buy & they want to make sure they r getting a good VALUE. l think that the IS-F is WORTH the price it is being sold for.

Now that being said. l would actually purchase a C63, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds can not be beat in my book, & l am not a fit & finish type of guy. But that is based on a ''If l won the Lottery Scenario''.lol

No.

Is not the 1st with direct shift ( Direct-Shift Gearbox or DSG (Direktschaltgetriebe) ) That has 8 gears l give them that. Is that worth to have 8 gear? All depends what they r trading. Shorter gears to have the same end ratio as 6? It has a V8 producing 416 SAE hp (423 PS, 311 kW) at 6,600 rpm, while peak torque is 371 lb-ft (505 Nm) at 5,200 rpm, that tells me is not a very torquey engine & needs close ratio gears. Does the tranny weights more? Who knows, is all a will see how works out. Beside, it has no really no new technology under the hood. 2 stage induction is been around for a while, Oil Coolers for Tranny & Engine, most sports cars has them, Brembo brakes r off the shelf parts.

So is not all new after all. Just someone modded the car & tune it for u before hand.

It is tough to say it is much cheaper than its competitors.
It competes with the Audi RS4, BMW M3, & Mercedes C63 AMG. These 3 cars r faster, more comfortable, more roomy, & offer more features than the IS-F & they r all more expensive than the IS-F.
They might be faster, but the IS-F is very close in terms of acceleration & speed. It is thousands less than its competitors so it kind of is a good deal, but it rides nothing like a Lexus. It has a rough & loud ride. It is very uncomfortable, but fun to drive.

probably not. when l start to see some on the road, l would assume the guy has money to spend. but for overall greater performance in the area that the lexus aims for, what better than Bmw m3, audi rs 4, infiniti g35/7, or acura tl type-s could come to mind..just to name a few?

Absolutely

l am assuming its a rival of the M3. or soon to be..

l think its worth the money with the extra performance. But you should probably get the 350 if you can not afford the LS-F.
