Premium. Also, if you want your engine to last longer, put a cup of sugar in the tank once a month. It will make your car.. sweet.

l would alway use the premium, it is better for cars versus regular gas.

HAPPY GASSING UP!!!

Most high end cars like that take premium and their engines generally wo not tolerate anything less.

What ever you pump into it. That is what it takes. Simple really.

possiably anyone of them-but high test will burn cleaner and give you more power and will burn cleaner and that will be less times to have a tune-up.
l run regular and then every third tank l fill-up with high test and that works very well.and you need to keep your air filter clean because a dirty one will rob you of mileage and power.

Your car will run with whatever u put in it, it wo not run at peak efficiency with a les than optimal fuel grade, but it will run.

Most Japanese cars (unless stated on the fuel door or owner is manual), run best on mid-grade fuel (89 ron). This returns the best gas mileage. It does not matter that it is a Lexus, u r basically driving a high-end Toyota.

If u put a lower grade fuel in ur car, the computer will know & adjust ur engine is performance accordingly. Same thing with Premium fuel.

Whatever grade u run, make sure to use a pour-in-the-tank fuel system cleaner like Techron at least every few thousand miles. You put the Techron in the tank before u fill it up.

If u r curious about what the ratings on fuel mean, it is a measure of their combustability. The lower the RON, the easier it is to ignite, the higher the number, the harder it is to ignite. Internal combustion engines r all about 'controlled burn' & the more u can control when the air/fuel mixture burns (spark plugs), the more efficient u can make the engine.

Read the Owner is Manual, is all there and do not be frugal. You can afford a car like that, you can pay the gas, right?

Rotus. seems to know his stuff and he is right on the money. All fuels has the same Thermal Energy stored (BTUs) so, what he said about the Octane Ratings is right on the money :-)

It takes Regular 87-89 octane. Anything higher will build up carbon from incomplete burn. Lexus recommends not using premium fuel in vehicles unless specifically required as it is bad on the engine. The higher the octane rating the slower it burns, and the harder it is to ignite (especially in lower temps).
