My husband put air in all 4 yesterday and light turned off, but today it turned back on.Is there something a Lexus dealer would do differently? l do not wanna shell out $ for air in our tires.

Would a Toyota dealer be okay if l have to take it in?

you could try to put air in it one more time l would say and if it happened again l would take it to lexus because they will give you a free new rental car we had the same problem one time with our lexus

l would put air in the tires at a gas station. He may have put air in the tires when they were hot and when they cooled off the pressure went down enough to cause the sensors to go off. You should always check air pressure when the tires are cool, when they have been run a while the heat in the tires causes the air pressure to go higher and you get a false reading.

This doesnt necessarily mean that there is a malfunction in the tire pressure sensor but that there might be a slow leak. You could possibly have a nail in ur tire that is resulting in a slow leak.. defintely keep an eye on that tire to make sure it doesnt go down further. if u cycle through ur trip computer on the dash, it might even tell u the readings from all 4 tires so u can know for comparison. u can take it to any dealer or even a tire place & that can remove the nail & repair the tire for 20-40 dollars to permanently & safely fix the leak. whatever u r most comfortable with.

l agree with poster 3, get a gauge and check the pressure periodically in each tire untile you find the one leaking

Depending on which vehicle u have, (RX, ES-as an option, LS, GX, LX) ur spare tire will also have a tire pressure monitor. Be sure to set the air pressure in the spare. The is & gs
only have ''donut'' type spares. What happens is during the night the
temp in ur tires drops, & so will the pressure (an understanding of science is need to comprehend this). During the day , or during driving the air in the tires will heat up causing the air pressure to rise. In any case u should have Lexus check out the low tire pressure light as this is a complicated system & r willing to explain in depth without charging u an arm & a leg. Hope this helps!
