The First Gen Lexus SC came with a 3.0 I6, the 2jzge, & badged the ''Lexus SC300''. An optional engine was the 4.0 V8, the 1uzfe.
The differentiation between a 3.0 I6 2jzge & a twin-turbo 3.0 I6 2jzgte is a turbocharger, an exhaust manifold ported for a turbocharger manifold, a different air intake manifold, & an intercooler.
The Lexus SC frame is very similar to the Toyota Supra, 2nd Gen, & the engine bay is almost the same size. The SC was indeed based on the Supra is frame, the SC is just a regular coupe, whereas the Supra was a hatchback.
To answer ur question, u could fit a 2JZGTE inside easily, & the 2JZGTE should have a wire harness that is compatible with ur gauges & fuses.
The question is really, could u save more money by installing a turbo manifold, turbocharger, intercooler, & air intake manifold to a 2jzge?
