l am trying to sell my 1996 Lexus. It has over 140,000 miles but l changed the enginea few months ago(70,000). It is in good condition.l do not know what l can ask for it because it has a lot ofmileagee? What do you think?

Edit: Kelley Blue Book can at least give u an estimate of what price ur car is near. Just because someone who is a California Smog Detector tells u that u can not sell ur car, does not mean that it is not possible. l would put ur car on the market & see how it does. There r many people looking for cars out there, as l have just bought one myself. l also know many people who have recently bought similar cars.

A 12 year old car that has been driven 12,000 miles per year should have about 144,000 miles. You probably cannot get more than the retail price shown in the Kelly Blue Book even with a low mileage replacement engine. Now is a very difficult time to sell a car at any price with the national financial banking situation causing all sales to cease. Better to wait until Spring of 2009. New car dealers may be able to help you, if u want to buy another car, but they wo not give u anthing for ur '96 model in trade.

Well it also depends on what model is ur car. but 140k l say 4.5k-5.6k. but with the new motor, 6k flat.
