Without a doubt the bimer. Bi turbo, lightweight, sports tuned, higher torque with optimum rev and kw compared to the lexsus.

Well, originally, the IS would wipe the BMW off the board, but BMW added a turbo to the 3-Series so it would be a close race. Personally, l think the IS would because it is one of the most aerodynamic cars in the world and that is got to count for something.

The Verdict: The preferred running shoes for runners.
BMWs win many of our comparison tests for the same reason marathoners prefer running shoes to mukluks. They just work better for the task at hand.
Our 330i labored hard to lose. The electrical ticks began shortly after it was delivered. The new 3-series has a push-button start. Ours would work only after several exasperated pushes & fiddling with the key. Why, we wondered in the free moments this created, must u even insert the ''key'' into the dash when many push-button systems, including the IS350's, allow the radio-transmitting key fob to roam free?
. The 3-series is the BMW franchise, accounting for 60 percent of the company is sales. No wonder it feels the least altered, the least Bangle-ized, by its model changeover. The core BMW traits r all there: slot-car steering response, implacable structural rigidity, sublime balance. See ur path through a corner, & the BMW nails it with a wrist flick. It does not clomp, it does not float, its throttle does not surge or cause the driveline to buck. It does not force u to wrestle with mushy controls or negotiate with bionic brains. It just makes every road ur personal pavement playpen.

It helps that this 330i was ordered just right, meaning with a six-speed manual & without the wonky active steering & the atrocious iDrive. Both r warts on the options sheet to be avoided at all costs. Buy an aftermarket navigation system if such things matter to you. The new 3 is interior, although beautifully tailored with wood accents & leather sport seats, did not satisfy all. The radio display is hard to read & harder to operate, the A/C struggled in the heat, & the dash is a meniscus that curves coldly away from you. It is easy to feel like just a cog in the machine.

But, oh, what a machine!

Everyone is right, the 335ci would beat the IS 350 around a track and down a quarter mile.

But the CTS-V would beat them all.
