Wow, a lot of people like calling Lexus a glorified Toyota..then what about the Caddy? Its nothing more than a glorified Chevy Tahoe. And you're still supporting the economy b/c the Lexus is built in the US. Look it up if u need proof about that.

l will go ahead & pick the Lexus. Disregarding fuel econ (better in any Lexus, trust me), the build quality is much better. My last car was a Lexus & was extremely reliable. In fact, l never had to do anything to it. Just change the oil, a tune up now & then, & the occasional set of brakes.

It doesnt really have that bling factor, but if thats what u want get the Caddy. Also, I've never had an Escalade, but I've have friends w/ them. The service at the dealer is nowhere near the Lexus standards.

But, regardless of what anyone tells you, make ur own choice. Drive them both, see what makes u happy, & drive that home.

Go for the Escalade it is so much better, as Cadillac is -in my opinion- better than Lexus.

l would prefer the Denali by Gmc ; (all wheel drive) it can be just as customized as the Escalde with a little less chance of it getting stolen..

There is not a single Lexus on the road that was built in the U.S. All Lexus' come from Japan or Canada.


l would recommend Lexus. l assume that you're talking about the LX, right? That is the SUV comparable to the Escalade. Anyway, l test drove the LX & then the Escalade. The Escalade is ride is not anything compared to how smooth the LX is ride is. Even if you're not talking about the LX, l have more stories. l test drove an ES ($35k) & then the Cadillac STS ($48k) & the STS rode like a Toyota Corolla. The ES handled potholes & railroad tracks like they were not even there. And u should have heard it on the freeway. There was barely any road noise. Lexus might be a glorified Toyota, but that is what it is, glorified. It is absolutely the best brand of car out there. Quality, durability, reliability, luxury, convinience, & satisfaction comes with every Lexus.

Lexus! If you're going to drive around in a road going pansyass luxury pseudo-SUV, you might as well get the one that is designed better.

theres no need to ask just look how much they depreciate, a 2003 Escalade is what 25k, and any 03 lexus is at least 30k, lexus is the best car for the price

it really depends on which lexus you're talkinga bout u can not just say escalade or lexus because u can not compare the escalade to the IS lexus. escalade is competition l think is the brand new 2008 lexus LX 570. because they r both in the upper $60 thousand range. l love the way the new escalade design looks but the interior looks like a hummer H1 too big. the lx 570 however has an ugly design but the interior makes u think it is a mercedes maybach ($300,000+) personally l think lexus is more luxurious because when u think of luxury cars the first 3 makes that usually come to mind is mercedes, bmw & lexus. then followed by the caddilac's, infinite is & so on.

You're comparing a stereotyped GM to a Lexus? get out.

If u want a car that every black guy that thinks he is a ''player'' owns, get an Escalade. That is really the only reason l can think to buy one. GM has terrible service, & it is basically a Suburban with a body kit.

Lexus has OUTSTANDING service, extremly long life, & they're much more classy. We've got two - & l would not take buy any thing less. They're better engineered, & they're backed up by the company that makes the most reliable cars on the road - toyota.

Lexus SUV is r much more classy. They will last longer. They have some of the best service in the world (they catered one of my parties because we bought a new RX from them - l was amazed), they will hold their value, their build quality is nothing short of brilliant, & they will quietly outperform an Escalade while requiring almost no service, ever. You should not even have to ask this question.
