is the 2002 lexus LS a good car in terms of:

reliability/good for road trips (my top priority)
handling/performance
eletrical and other problems
cheaper insurance

also is it a good young guys car??

you name it all but not cheap insurance

Reliability/good for road trips - Yes, this is an excellent car. Lexus has been in the top 5 car brands with the best reliability for several years running. As for road trips, it is great. The ride is smooth & the seats r comfortable

Handling/performance - handling is good for a car this size. Performance is not something sporty, but it has power & can be controlled easily, but it was not designed to be driven hard & aggressively (but it can handle it).

electrical & other problems - the LS had infrequent problems with electrical problems as well as other problems.

Cheaper insurance - cheaper than what? Insurance wo not be extremely cheap because this is a prestige luxury car.


It is an okay for young guys to own. It is for the business man so if that is you, then why not? Even if you're not a business man, all that matters is if u like it.

toyota made lexus it is also a japanese car but all i'm saying is yes they are great car is there good in gas there easy to fix pretty fast and luxurious . For a young guy if your getting this car your pretty lucky because these car is can get pretty expensive how do l know this it is because my dad is a mechanic and he has a 1990 Lexus ES 250 and he bought it brand new back in the day and he still has it intill now with no problems

Yes, its a great car.

Imagine ur driving down the road in a Lexus LS, u pass a few domestic cars on the side of the road with their hoods up, u might even pass a 1980 is Japanese car that looks like hell,
you get to the end of the trip refreshed because ur ears havent been pounded by the road noise, ur body is fresher because of the smooth ride & nice seats, youre not as pissed off as other drivers who r driving a Ford Focus or Dodge Neon everyday commuting to work & u know the BMW 740 that just passed u wlll be in the repair shop more often than you. The only problem might be that its so smooth, ur mind might wander & start falling asleep since its so comfortable. But then u stay alert because u need to keep working to make the payments & the insurance. But its so worth it. You will get looks from people around u at a stop light thinking, ''that young punk has a Lexus?''

Insurance is insane like bimmers or benz. It have real nice brakes.

great car, #1 all time in reliabilty. Not a good good car for a young person. Slightly dated.
