Go to Edmonds.com or Kelly Blue Book for guidance. 6500 sounds like a lot for any car with 100k miles on it.

no its not worth 6500 bucks,think about it ,its a 11 year old car ,and is at the point to where it will start giving problems real soon,so that is not a good deal,you can find a lot better deals than that in other places,id look around real good,Lexus is a nice car,but used and that old its not worth that much money,good luck hope this helps.

What model? LS 400 ( l think that is the top of the line lexus for the 96)? If so then it is a fair deal from a dealer. If it is not an LS 400 and it is going for 6500 then that is a rip off.

l think its too much for Lexus! not a good deal for any model of 96, one of my friend bought a Lexus ES300 2000 model for 7200 bucks, so think about it! next time please be specific about the model of the car.

It all depends, how the car was kept- maintained & how many miles on it. What is the condition of the engine & any damage to the outside, so many factors come. Was the car owned & maintained by one person, was there any flood damage to the car, so u have to see so many things in old cars. In addition, u may be buying the headcases of the other person also. If u r really interested check with Car Max & then get an assessment from a good mechanic, others from a dealer, it would cost u big bucks for check from a dealer.

What model is it?

First, What lexus is it? Get a used car report to see if the vehicle has been in accident, salvage title or flooded. Did you check compression? Oil? Tranny? Was it hooked up to a diagnostic machine? If all are good then it is but remember it is used and l am guessing private sale.Alot can be hidden like rigged doors, lights that are not supposed to be on may have been turned off without fixing which could be a ten or 500.00 problem. Be careful or buy from reputable Dealer.
