l am considering purchasing either the RX or GX Suv and wanted to know what the costs of maintaining one would be.l have an Infiniti and am not pleased with the routine maintenance costs.Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

My mom has had a lexus SUV for about 7 years now and it has had minimal problems. The only bad thing l can say about hers is that her antenna is broken and its costs like 300 dollars to get it fixed. l think shes giving me the car soon though b/c my Jetta is having SO many problems and l simply cant afford to keep up with it!!

company see that u own a high priced car they will charge u more because they think u can pay for it.

l had a GX470 and other than changing the oil and replacing a brake light l had ZERO problems from 04 to 07..
tires are still great too.

An auto repair company (or most that l know or have worked at) r NOT going too think u can afford more because of ur car type & charge u more. That is absolutely absurd. l will tell u though that not all dealerships like Lexus or Mercedes or BMW charge an CRAZY amount of money for there parts. Even to independant auto repair companies like mine. And it really comes down to u get what u pay for. If u want OE parts then u have to pay the price. You could always go after market but for more expensive cars like that aftermarket parts can cause u more problems

they r good cars & they will run a LONG time. But just remember if u car is more expensive that means ur oil filters r more expensive & u will most likely use synthetic oil which is more expensive & most recommend premium gas which we all know gas is just going up & up.

so l would be 100% sure that in the case that something needs to be replaced like shocks or waterpumps or radiators & such that u will be able to afford high prices in those areas.

And if u decide to go used. ALWAYS have the car checked out before u purchase its very important to do that before u buy because it can save u alot of heartbreak in the end. Just cuz a car SEEMS to be running right doesnt mean it is & if u take the car to an auto repair shop or dealership u can trust they may be able to tell u in the future what repairs will need to be made because sometimes u can tell if in the near future something will need to be replaced.
