Go to the dealership and find out. Do not rely on random people on for a huge investment like a luxury vehicle.

Your Lexus r among the most reliable automobiles made, & you'd be trading them for cars made by the manufacturer listed by Consumer Reports as one of the two (Jaguar is the other) least reliable brands u can buy.

Even if u did, Mercedes-Benz makes no car comparable to the ES330. It is front-wheel drive, & no M-B is r FWD.

The car closest in size & performance to the ES330 is the C280.

The car closest in size & performance to the GS430 is the E550.

If u r switching to a European brand, I'd get a BMW 335i & 550i.

Mercedes Benz can never be compared to Lexus. Lexus are much better and more reliable. If you must, then the E280 is similar to ES350 and E350 is similar to the GS430. Although, Lexus cars have more features, stronger engines and smoother drive. You are making a BIG mistake!

Well considering Lexus built their brand on copying Mercedes, switching to the original is a great idea. The MB engineering is far superior to Lexus, the cars are more solid and have class and style, compared to the dull look of the Lexus. Look at the C & E class.

l would not really recommend going over to Mercedes. Reliability has been a huge problem as of late (refer to Consumer Reports). They cranked out too many new models & stretched themselves to thin, & quality suffered. They r well engineered, but the days of driving a Mercedes into the ground without problems r long gone. Repairs r also quit expensive & usually take a long time.

Lexus' r the best built cars on the road, plain & simple. l again cite Consumer Reports & JD Power as well. The r conservatively styled, & r not great handling cars. If u r looking for something that will be reliable, & looks nice & will take a corner, the Infiniti M35/45 is r very highly rated (usually win the comparo tests). The G35 is r also nice, but r a little smaller & the interiors r kinda chintzy.

If it is a new car that u will not keep beyond 3yrs & 50k miles, Audi & BMW offer full maintenance for the first 50k miles ( l think Audi charges for it now). They pay for everything. After that time period, l would be worried about fixing them as they r not reliable & cost a fortune to fix.
