l am comptemplating buying a 2003 or 2004 lexus gs300. can anyone tell me what kind of gas mileage they have experienced with this type car?

That being said, l would expect about 17mpg in purely city driving back and forth to work. You could get 25mpg on a long drive. Overall, 18-19mpg on mixed driving. The straight 6 cylinder is smooth and torquey, but not all that horribly fuel efficient.

l have a es300, 3.0 same engine l think, l get about 21-22mpg thats about 95% in the city too.

Gas mileage on a Lexus GS 300. A great car by the way, good choice. The car is rated for 18 city 25 highway. Not bad for a fairly good sized car & a 3.0 liter 220 hp inline-6. However if l were u the gas mileage on the V8 is 18 city 23 highway, l would get this model for the extra power. Tough to beat a 4.3 liter 300 hp V8. Good luck.
