l just got rid of a 740il - waaaaaay too much maintenance. l got an SC430 - love it!
Now the truth, the Bimmer is more fun to drive, BUT, the lexus is much cheaper to maintain AND it to is fun to drive just not as much as the Bimmer.
Even with the no charge maintenance on the Bimmer, how often do you want to be driving a loaner?
l love my Bimmers, but l love my money more.

lets face it. u r spending a lot of money. it looks like u r leasing. unless u buy a new car every two years, leasing is not the way to go. u r actually paying to rent a car. lexus is by far the best made car in the world. it has the least issues. bmw on the other hand is a pita. it is expensive to fix & not much better in reliability if at all than a chevrolet. sorry but german engineering is not that great. ask the mechanics who worked on the tiger tanks. so if u want no headaches, go lexus. if status is less important than ur wallet, buy yourself a toyota camry with all the bells & whistles & send me the extra 10 grand u saved or ten bucks. lol.

Go w/ the Lexus. I've owned 3 (SC400, IS300, & RX300) of them, & love um all :).
BMW is r a piece of crap. Sure, they have longer maintenance, but u will have a crap load of electric problems. l had a '04 325 is, & that thing was in the shop 6 times for the SAME electric problems..either the drivers window would not close all the way, the moon-roof did not close, or the lights would periodically not activate!
l also drive a ('95) SC 400 w/ 185k miles on it, & it still drives almost as good as the day l bought new 12 years ago. Yes, it really has 185,000 miles on it, & it will still do 0-60 in under 7 seconds!!!! These cars ROCK!!!
Personally, l will NEVER buy anything except Lexus again.
