Does not matter for this cheap car.
Just kidding! 93 is better, but 89 is fine.

It really does not matter with gas prices being so high l would just put regular unleaded The higher the grade the high the price

Just use regular gas the v6 in the Lexus es300 is the same engine in a v6 Camry it does not need premium or mid grade and using either of them will not really help the car. Higher octane just reduces engine Knocking in high compression engines (higher performance) your engine is not a high compression engine and will not gain from the use of premium fuel.

That all depends on what u can afford. Of course the manufactures r going to recommend the highest quality grade possible. It is up to you.

Basically the higher octane gas is for higher performance engines that run at higher RPM's.

Higher octane is less likely to combust before the iginition stroke. When the gas is compressed enough it will ignite prematurely before the spark plug fires resulting in a knocking of the engine because of the timing of the pistons being off.

Typically higher performance engines have more compression & therefore run a higher risk of this premature combustion.

Also higher grade gasoline does not leave carbon deposits as much on the various parts such as the valves, piston heads. piston rings. etc allowing for longer usage & less wear.

So it is really a compromise of price versus quality & what u want.

l had an old chevy pickup. ( A long way away from a Lexus) & not even a comparison, but l ran it for 200,000 miles on regular gasoline. But with ur expensive piece of machinery l would go with the higher grade of gas due to the parts being much more expensive & harder to work on.

Hope this helps

Was not Aware it was a camry motor. Guess l shouldve guessed cause lexus is made by toyota. Probably on the same assembly line.

Amazing how companies get away with that. Pay the extra money for a ''Lexus'' & get the same motor that is in a 12,000 dollar car. Sorry no offense to the author of this post.

Regular 87 octane will probably work fine. But as l said earlier if u want to pay more for a better quality then that is ur choice, but if u keep ur vehicle maintaned by changing filters, oil, etc then u should get plenty of life out of it even with 87 octane.
