Exactly 87,439.4 miles.

Seriously, that is like asking how long people live. At best, you will get an average. But it depends on how well it was maintained, your driving style, and countless other variables. Obviously, one that was well maintained and driven reasonably will last longer than one that was ragged to death.

should last about 100000 to 120000 depending on the maintanance unfortunatly there are solinoids in that transmission that make everything work and if one goes bad you have to get them all and there not cheap

You can not even say 100k-120k, that is wrong.
It all depends on manual/automatic, the amount of abuse it has been subjected to, and its performed maintainence. My 1993 Toyota 5spd transmission has lasted me 224k miles and still lives, perfectly.

If a Lexus is taken care of, they will last to 300,000 miles. Many r documented at that miles or higher. Average life is 200,000.

But like another said, there r solenoids in the transmission that can go out. l see them normally going out around 130,000 on most SC is & GS models. Average bill is about $800 for repairs.

A Lexus will break down 7 times less often than a Chevy. But the Lexus parts will be 4 times more expensive than the Chevy parts. So remember that when u get sticker shock at times..for a Chevy (or similar) would of cost u more with more visits.

Just talked a buddy out of his Cadillac & into a 98' SC400. He is past tickled pink. Said the Cadillac is junk compared to his Lexus.

well, l have two sc300 is & one sc400 & they all have around 110,000 to 120,000 & they r still running very strong. l saw a guy at autozone one day who was going on 200,000 & had of course normal problems but was still running like it did ten years ago & it is very true, lexus is a great car & will keep on truckin for a long time but when that one thing does go bad then u be payin out the wazoo but l suggest if its something that can be fixed with a toyota part then go for it because lexus & toyota parts r generally the same & they r about 1/2 as expensive. just my opinion & to the guy who mislead everyone, 120,000 miles on a sc is babysteps!
