l found a awsome 2006 Lexus GX at a reputable Chrysler dealer...but everone tells me to be careful about buying preowned american vehicles up here in Canada. l just wanted everyones advice on this one. The vehicle was 11month Lease in California. The car fax says everything is ok...just no info on the Warranty (on the CarFax). The Saleslady says it has a full warranty. Should l buy this or keep looking??

You better check with the border patrol, there is a lot of paper work involved with importing a car, even used. Taxes will be due also, good luck

Are u buying it in the States & bringing it to Canada? If so, forget it, too much involved. If you're buying it hear from a reputable dealer it would be no different then buying a Canadian car except getting the history on it would be difficult. l would double check about the warranty, l heard once a car crosses the border the manufacturer voids the warranty. If she is giving u an after market warranty on it l would read the warranty very closely as they r usually not worth the paper they're written on.

l cannot image why people in Canada are leery of purchasing American Lexus vehicles. The only concern that l would have would be whether the instruments were in MPH or KPH. l live in America and we have a few Canadian customers at our dealership and the Canadian Lexus are the same as the American except for the instruments.
