l noticed that the camry gives a better mileage and is cheaper but the new es350 looks even nicer and a litle more power ,,is it realy worth the price they almost look the same car. l can get the camry fully loaded navigation system bluethooth leather etc...but the lexus l will only get the basis standard for almost the sme price in fact stil is more expensive. what do you think?

When you buy the Lexus, you are basically paying the extra for a little more chrome and the name. If the price was the same, l would go with the Lexus, but if it was even a thousand more, I'd definitely go w/ the Camry.

Both are great cars. Here’s what it boils down to: Is the incremental cost worth it TO YOU to upgrade to the luxury car? The ES is going to be quieter and the handling may be slightly different. In the luxury car segment l don’t think anyone can find a better value than the ES (more for the money).

Buy the Lexus. There r several factors to condiser. While it is true the Lexus ES shares a platform with the camry, That is all it shares. Hte frame is just a metal shell that the car is built around. In Fact, The ES 350 only shares a total of 20% of total parts with the camry. The interior materials in the ES 350 r Are far superior. Whil both can be had with leather interiors, The ES 350 Uses regency leather. All outside body panel, & all interior panels & parts r unique to the ES 350. When starting with a Frame its only important that the platform have good rigidity. Infact. The new camry platform was designed with the ES in mind, & therfore, Toyota invested more money in its development. THink of a car like a house. l could frame two home, but make them vastly different buy using different materials in its construction. The ES has upgraded leather, Suspension parts, Electronics, Stereo equipment, More sound insulation ( scored at db of 67 at 75 MPH) one of the lowest tested by consumer reports, beating come cars costing thousands more. The ES also has the Lexus name. The name alone inflates resale values, & the vehicle depreciates less than a Camry. You also get Lexus service, Loaners whenever u car is in the shop, & that extra special treatment that just makes u feel like a king. Drive each back to back & u can tell the difference. Less Road & wind noise, Fewer Rattles & a Mark Levenson Stereo that will make u want to sit in ur car & listen to CD is All Day. Lexus uses a superior pant process on all vehicles vs toyota. All lexus vehicles have four coates of paint vs two for toyota. Compare side by side. The Lexus has a deeper gloss & more substantial look. Remember the house. l can use the same frame & place tile floors, cheaper paint, cheaper roof materials, particle board cabinets, or l could use marble tile, solid oak cabinets, with marble walk in shower. While both homes may have the same frame, they r not the same home. l have owned two ES models & will be getting my third in Six month. l would not have gone with another vehicle. The good news is the New ES actualy shares no body parts & no longer resembles a camry. And truth be told, Even if people dont admit it, a car is a status symbol, & it sures feels better driving a LExus. REmember they differ in over 80% of parts used to build them. Finally, ALL ES models r built in a state of the Art Plant in Japan. Build quality usually is better because of this.
