How much you paid when purchasing the new Lexus 2007 ES350 (not included tax and tag)? l got offer of $34500, good enough?

It depends on which non-nav trim you're looking at. If you're looking at the lowest base model, MSRP is $33,470. Adding the Premium Plus package makes it $35,950, & the Luxury package brings it to $38,850. Invoice prices r about $4000 below MSRP on these, & u have to take into consideration the other options that u might have included.

So if you're going with the Premium or Luxury trims, then I'd say you're getting a pretty decent/good deal. If you're paying $34,500 for the Base model, though, I'd say u probably could have had them bring it down lower.

This is a great price as the base MSRP is $33,470 & this more than likely includes the premium package which retails for $1,280. Total price $34,750 A discount of $250.

FY l - It is extremely rare to get a discount on a Lexus vehicle. Lexus vehicle r not for their great reliability & their great resale value. And Lexus gives u more car for ur money compared to BMW & Mercedes.

You will probably never see an ES350 at base price as it does not include leather seats. One without leather seats would be special order. A Lexus without leather seats is hard to resale.

l believe u have a good deal. Go for it & enjoy ur new vehicle.

Basically, what somebody else paid is irrelevant. There r factors such as WHERE (state/region) u bought the car. Here is a way to get ur BEST deal. l have done this 4 times already, & for a few friends. This is how to work it, in a nutshell:

1. Go to Edmunds.com & print out the invoice price on the car u want. Also print the invoice prices of the options too!

2. After u ''build'' the car from the print out (invoice price plus destination, then add the INVOICE prices of the options u want), u will know how much the car costs the dealer (obviously, this wont include manufacture kick-backs to the dealer).

3. After u know EXACTLY what u want (model, color, options), go to Lexus' website & print out the Lexus dealers within a couple hundred miles of ur location.

4. Call EACH of them & ask to speak with the Fleet Manager. When u get him/her on the phone explain that u r a busy professional, that u dont have time to bicker, that u r READY to buy a car NOW, & that u r calling around to a few dealers in the area to get their best price. You will put a deposit on the car TODAY at the place that offers u the best price.

5. He will ask what u want.tell him exactly what u want. If it is not in stock, they will try to locate one from another dealer, or u may have to oder it if u want bare-bones.

6. You will get a price. He may say ''$500 over invoice'' or give u a price. If he gives u ''$500 over'' or similar, verify the PRICE (ie: $30,450).

7. Thank him for his time & tell him that u have a few other dealers to call, thank him for his time, & tell him u will get back to him shortly if we have a deal.

8. Call the other delaers on ur list until done.

9. Two options now.either call back the lowest & put down ur deposit, knowing u got the best deal in town, OR call back the lowest 2 & tell the 2nd lowest that u can get it at XXX for $xxx. Tell him u would rather go through them as they have a better rep, r closer, or whatever. They may offer to beat that price by a little, but let it be known that they r near their bottom line already. It may only be $100 or so.

10. Put down ur deposit (typically $500) & then set a time when u can come in to get ur car & pay.

Thats about it. My last purchase was an 04 Lexus GX470 which l got WITH an aftermaket DVD system with headrest monitors, & a few extra goodies for LESS than invoice on the car itself (not even including the cost of the DVD system!). They get ''holdbacks'' from the manufacturer if they get ''excellent'' rating from YOU on their customer service questionare. Assure them that u will mark them as excellent!

Best of luck. It takes about 30 minutes to do this & it works like a charm! The Fleet Manager does NOT make a sales commission on car sales, so u immeadiately eliminate any inflated costs for commissions.

PLEASE, do not do this if u r not READY to BUY TODAY. Have ur financing READY to go, & know exactly what u want. Best of luck!
