My car has 110,000 and still has the original shocks front / rear ...just kinda wondering how long these are really good for? What do you think?

It rides ok ..... but l think it could be better .... l am thinking about changing them all out ... but it is such big money to do it at the shop and l just do not have the time to do it myself with work the way it is .....

what do you think?

Well if you do not visual see any fluid leaking, at the shops I've worked at they are ''preventative maintenance'' from 50 - 100k miles. Passed 100k you can guarantee that it will make the ride better. You also need to keep in mind you might be used to the soft cushy ride that you have unknowingly grown accustom too and it will feel rough at first.

They should be replaced at 100k regardless of any signs of wear. New shocks will improve the ride but more importantly stopping distance.

Hi l would recommend changing them , you might want to have some one do them , you will need a coil spring compressor you might be able to rent one , but it is very dangerous if you do not know what your doing , so if you do this be very careful coil springs can be very dangerous when compressed. hope l could help.

l have about the same amount of miles on my 1995 LS400, & they still seem to be OK. The ride could stand to be a little better, l would agree. If l were to do it, l would probably get some Bilsteins (these shocks will improve handling a good deal, & not hurt the ride) off the Internet & have them professionally installed. Might even have the ride height lowered a little if they would not charge too much to cut the springs while they r out (lower it maybe an inch or so).

If there r no signs of leaks, & the car only bounces once when u push down on a corner, they r probably still good. As this car still is worth a decent amount of money & should last for quite a while longer, u would not be throwing away ur money by doing this.
