Same thing my daughter wanted at your age, and eventually got.a bright red mustang convertible! However, l would not let her have that. Instead l got her a sweet used silver Honda Accord with a sun roof. She got the mustang after college, and still drives it.

well, since you are basically buying a car for looks, then you should probably also look at what cars a cheap to fix in case you forget to change the oil and have routine maintenance done and what cars are cheap on insurance since you are a new driver and will most likely get into a fender bender.
l say, a honda civic or 2 door accord.

l would suggest a Mitsubishi Eclipse 08 OR a Mazda Miata, For they are both considered Girls cars, But then again they are only 2 seater. But they are cool, fast and sexy cars.

For anyone who is 16:
A late 90 is Honda Civic or Toyota Camry. They last a long time, great on gas, cheap to fix and are very easy to park.
Learning to drive with one of these is your best bet.

Before l start, l do come from a wealthy family & wealthy area, so l know many of u may not agree with me.
A used luxury car, BMW or Audi, Maybe Lexus, is always a good option, since they have alot of safety features that other cars (Honda, Toyota) of that model year would not have. As said above, a Lexus IS, used, is a great idea, since they r part of Toyota, so u will have a very reliable car.
l think 2 seater cars a good for kids with parents who do not want many kids in a car. A used BMW Z3 or Z4, or Audi TT, or a Toyota Spyder. You really need to check with all dealers in ur area, since there is such a wide range of cars.
My favorite car, if u want to be cost cutting, is the Mini Cooper, Toyota Camry, or the NEW Honda Accord. They r all stylish & fuel efficient. The Mini is great since it gets amazing mileage ( l think about 30-35 mpg???) & they r quite nice cars.
Be warned though.my friend will be getting his Mom is BMW when he goes into highschool. It is an 05 530xi, very powerful. Last year a teenager crashed his Mustang GT, & one of his friends was killed. Nice cars will make some people jealous of you, so watch out for people trying to key ur car. And never get a car that is too fast to handle.

Some that you can afford and understand.
Let me put it on terms that you can understand. You take a Pig and dress it on Carolina Herrera, Prada shoes and all the expensive accessories that you can find. well, still a Pig. A car does not make a woman, a real woman make herself a woman.
So if a pig buys a Lexus, well the Pig is dumb Lexus owner.
Do catch my drift ;-)

A hot girl can drive a beat-up '76 pinto and still be a hot girl. The girl makes the car. The car does not make the girl.
But... A white Lexus ES350 driven by a cute girl with long hair, sunglasses and high heels looks pretty dam good. Like hot and classy all at once. beep, beep

Maddie,
Everyone has given u some good advice. l would ask someone who works on different makes of cars if they r willing to help u with ur car buying. l am certain that u have a few choices in mind already. Start with making a list of things
1) Write down things that r important to ur parents. 2) Things that is important to u in a car & why? 3) What u do not like in a car. 4) Make a list of cars u like. Maybe the top five. Also top five colors u like. 5) Share this information with ur helper (someone who can help u through the process). Sit down & talk about ur notes & ask for his or her advice on ur selection. Be sure u have at least three u can shop for.
Be patient & do not let any sales person talk u anything u do not need. One exception, safety. Be sure to take ur helper/advisor with u when shopping for the car.
One last word of advice: Cars will likely cost more than u expect. Make sure u add all the taxes & fees to ur budget.
Good luck.
