It is getting near the end of its engine life. It could go to 200,000 but it really might not. It may only drive another 10,000 - 20,000 miles and it might well not do that. No one can be sure but the odds are against you.

The expected future life span is totally dependent on how well the car was maintained by the previous owner(s). Ask for maintenance records. No guarantees, but l have found that the better maintained and documented, the better the chance it will last for a while longer. Good luck.

It could be anywhere from 40,000 to 150,000. Lexus' generally go for a long time. That is a pretty decent deal.

See the records of maintenance and the general outlook. Also find when the cambelt was done. Does the car drive OK and does not look misused?

For this price it will be a v v good deal or a scam. Lexus engines last quite a while so you have something fishy there.

My 91 LS400 has 350,000 miles on it and the only problem it has had is the power steering pump, old lexuses really last for a long time but l think that it has to do more with how you drive it, like hard acceleration will make the engine heat more and will put too much stress on the transmission, just make sure that the previous owner wasnt a teenager because many teenagers accelerate too hard,

The main things that you have to watch out for on that car is 2 things. The engine sludging up and the transmission slipping. Check the maintenance records for proper oil change history and that the transmission fluid has been changed regularly. If both those were done properly the vehicle should last you a very long time.
