It depends! That is a great interest rate- do you have any credit card debt that is at a higher rate? Are you earning interest on the $5000 at a rate higher than 3.49%? If yes to either of these, l would recommend paying off other debt that has a higher rate, or keeping the money in savings or investments if you're earning a good rate of return.

If you have the money, l would recommend it. Pay it off now so if you have some financial trouble in the future, you wo not have to worry about a car payment.
