Yes, although most people consider them comparable acura is have a better resale value and are more dependable in the long run.

l hate acuras. My personal opinion but it seems like they are primarily driven by young kids who think racing is cool. Lexus (again in my opinion) seems like it is primarily driven by career minded adults who like luxury.

Well Acura is owned by Honda and Lexus is owned by Toyota. So which company do you like better. l prefer either.

l am an older female that owns an 06 acura tsx that l love. My sister-in-law and her husband both own Lexus is and love their vehicles. l really never considered a lexus but they do have high rating but so does acura. They both have good and bad points.

Lexus is known more for luxury than Acura is but that does not define its dependibilty. l do not know the specific reliabity statistics on either one however l would go with the Acura simply because the parts and labor will be cheaper. With Lexus you are paying premium for that little funky ''L'' sticker on the front of the car. However Acura is are not the cheapest car in the world either. Acura is Honda is luxury line and Lexus is Toyota's.

Ok take a good look..

Get a good pic of a Toyota Avalon, Rav4, Land Cruiser, Camry & look at a Lexsucks. Now u can see they took an entry level Toyota trimmed like a Benz & there u have it. Now look at a Lexsucks at the distance. does it looks like a Benz? Yes it does! See an Infiniti. Kind of looks like a BMW does it?

Now take an Acura. does it looks like a Civic or an Accord? See the roof line & other features. The trunk lid & some other things r changed to disguised it.

One thing that l noticed is they do not have a personality, just looks like expensive copies of a Rolex. So if u want Toyota quality, buy one! But these types of cars r targeted to Rich Folks that does not want to be seen driving a Toyota, Datsun or a Honda.

So as far quality. Is just the same as their main companies.

Man,Acura can not even be close to Lexus. Lexus is luxuty car,high-status. Acura is nothing,awerage car :-( will not suprise anyone. And also contents are different,Lexus run longer.

No. Lexus outdoes Acura in basically every way. Lexus is the #1 most reliable car, they have more luxury features, they're more expensive which equals more quality, they have bigger engines, RWD, etc. Acuras are nice, but Lexus is just more of a luxury car. Lexus competes with Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. Acura competes with Cadillac, Buick, and Mercury.

lex all the way. they are more reliable, hold their value way better, and are basically problem free for 300k miles or more...pretty much like all toyotas always have been.

They are both great cars but l would buy a Lexus before l bought an Acura because Lexus vehicles are much more luxurious and have the backing of Toyotas reliability. My mom has a 1991 Lexus LS 400 and it has over 240k miles. It has all of the original belts and hoses and is in great condition. It still runs like new and that is why l would buy a Lexus before an Acura.

Whoever says Acura is better then Lexus is kidding themselves. This is not my opinion, it is theirs & it is about all it is. You wanna talk facts? EVERY automatic Acura that is ever been made has had some kind of transmission recall or failiure, even the newest models. Acura has yet to discover what a v8 is. Resale on an Acura is FAR WORSE then on a Lexus. Who ever said the contrary is smoking crack. Lexus held more J.M awards then any other Japanese make & has been winning them year after year since they were first released in 1990. Lexus has been #1 on the list of most relieable cars for over a decade.

To be honest, Acura is a joke, they do not even offer any RWD platforms, besides the underpowered-overpriced NSX which can get creamed by regular sedans nowadays. Acura is nothing more then a overpriced Honda with cheap build quality & crappy transmissions. In my opinion, as a luxury brand they have not acomplished one thing yet. They do not offer true luxury like Lexus does, & they do not offer true performance like many European brands (merc. bmw, audi). They do not fullfil one thing that truelly makes a luxury brand.

l hate to say this but the truth is, it is hard to compare. We cannot just compare the brands. Even Ford makes some good cars, such as the European Contour.

Although both acura and lexus are considered to be luxury brands, their target audience are a little bit different. Acura used to target a younger and more active crowd. Lexus targets at the Benz and Bimmer wannabe crowd. However, imagewise, most people will think that Lexus is a more luxurious brand.
