How do I replace the headlight on a 1999 Lexus rx300

First u need to go get a new headlight! This does not have to come from Lexus! go to a parts store (auto zone) If u go to somewhere like auto zone u can usually get them to help u put it in!ask them a lot of question about it! maybe they will! IMPORTANT! If u do this yourself u need to know which set of screws takes the light out! their r 2 different types of screws in the headlights! the ones that let u put them in or take them out! (that is only 1 set) the other set is to adjust ur headlight! 1 for up & down 1 for left or right! DO NOT MESS WITH THE ADJUSTER SCREWS! u headlight will be pointed in the trees & everywheres else! check in the owners manual for this! Your best bet is to go to a auto parts store when they r not busy!

l will say, go to a mechanic or bring it to your dealer and have them to it.it is a lot of work.

Open the hood and look at the backside of the headlight assy. Locate the headlamp disconnect the electrical plug by pressing in the lock and pulling. Them rotate the bulb assy. and remove from housing. No tools required.

Remember not to handle the glass part of the new bulb. Oil from your hand could shorten it is life span.
