It wo not clean with Windex or a car wash.

Suzuki Motorcycle shops have a plastic polish you can use for that

3M makes an awesome 2 or 3 step kit, that will have them shining like new.

Well, u could use some type of alcohol based cleaner on the inside. This would mean removing the head-light assembly,(you have fun with that, re-installing could be a huge pain) Anyways, an alcohol based cleaner would remove most if not all moisture that may be in the head-light housing.
This is all presuming that this haze is inside head-light. Lots of times this haze is on the outside of the head-light housing. Its is caused by the fact that the housing is plastic & not glass. Since it is plastic, thus softer than glass, debris from the road will cause many little chips, dings, scratches, to look like a haze-ee head-light housing. Glass lenses do not wear as easy, so that is why they do not look hazy

Use a cleaner wax and a soft cloth. Work it in slowly and the plastic will clear up!!

l usually use a buffing wheel, but unless you know what you are doing, you can damage the headlights!

You could use 3,000 Grit sand paper, soke it in a bucket till it starts to shrivle use it on the head lights then polish them. cuz 3,000 grit is like EXTREAMLY small grains

There is a polish called Flitz that will take off that film. You can get way with this a couple times before you have to replace the headlights. The film is caused by exposure to UV rays from the sun.

There r a few methods here:

A. Using some rubbing compound on a fresh towel going left to right followed up by hand waxing the lights. If light hazing this can remove it.

B. Go to a local detail shop & have them do the same process but with a high speed buffer. Light hazing.

If yellowed, can be scratched with fingernail, hazed over to where nothing works. Then this means the exterior surface is gone due to heat of the lamp & the weather & road debris. The only way to repair this is step C or D.

C. Call a Headlight Restoration Company for repairs, normally less than $100 for the pair for a permanent repair back to OEM clarity. (there is only one in the USA that l know of)

D. Buy new headlights at an arm & a leg

l have a 1996 ES300 and the film is on the inside. The headlights are sealed, so really, tough cookies. My husband works at a Lexus dealership and he told me the only way to fix it is to get new headlights. They are like some ungodly amount of money even if you work there, so l just deal with it.
