The TRAC light comes on and stays on til l cut the car off, or after l drove it for 20 to 30min, and some days it doesnt come on at all.

If the TRAC light is coming on and staying on you are more than likely having some type of problem with your system. It could range from a simple wire connection to a problem with the braking system. l recommend biting the bullet and going to see a mechanic.

Does the check engine light also come on? If so could be a gas cap. Also is most likely a wheel speed or something in the braking system

Means a tire lost traction and the computer took over and corrected it for you. It gave you the light just to let you know it did something. If l recall right there are about 13 computers monitoring your ride, height, traction, etc. Just smile when you see the light and keep on going knowing you have the traction power of a 4x4.
