I'd personally choose either the Lexus LX470 or the Land Rover Range Rover. However, the Mercedes-Benz GL450 won the Motor Trend 2007 SUV of the Year award so what do l know.

Some will say Range Rover cause they think they can go anywhere..well they r good 4x4 is but their reliablity is pure crap. She will be in the shop more than on the hills by far.

Others will say a Hummer. Well..those r made by GM (cough Chevy) & r nothing more than redressed up Tahoe is & Suburbans. Sure they r also good 4x4 is & r better on mechanics..but after some pounding & punishment, they will whimper out. Now do not get me wrong.. l have a Blazer & she is one mean b*tch when l want to tow someone out of a snow bank or if l just want to go snow boggin'..but I'd never beat her over curbs & rocks as she would fall apart.

Now u look at the Lexus LX470..which is nothing more than a dressed up Toyota Land Cruiser into her own generation. Well that means she is softer, quieter, etc. But so far the best from what l have listed.she will go over anything, climb anything, pull anything & she wo not fall apart.

Now the best..as in all round truck, can go anywhere, pull anything, climb anything, take a hard beating & keep on going..comfortable, nice, call hall 6-8 people, etc..hands down, Toyota Land Cruiser. She truely is a Tonka Truck.
